What is Greening Out?

We created Anti+Dose to help people combat the over-consumption high from THC. The unpleasant side effects when this happens is called “greening out.”

Greening out happens when a user consumes more THC than they can comfortably manage. When this happens, a wide range of symptoms can happen, like vomiting, sweating, nausea, dizziness, shaking, and anxiety. This happens quite often with new users who don’t quite understand the dose that’s perfect for them.

Edibles are the most common cause of greening out. This happens for multiple reasons:

  1. The user hasn’t tried edibles before.
  2. The consumer isn’t sure what the dose of the edible was.
  3. Inexperienced people may think “It was just a gummy,” but the dose was too high.
  4. Not knowing what the preferred dose was for that person.

Greening out symptoms can vary from person-to-person, and can include:

  1. Upset stomach and nausea
  2. Vomiting
  3. Cold sweats and pale skin
  4. Muscle twitching and/or shaking
  5. Feeling faint or dizzy
  6. Heart racing or palpitations

What do you do if you’re greening out?

  1. Take Anti+Dose immediately, which brings down the THC high.
  2. Stay calm. You may feel anxiety, so start by taking slow, deep breaths to help bring your heart rate down.
  3. Know that it will pass. Anti+Dose takes effect within minutes.

To avoid greening out in the future, start slowly and use just a couple milligrams of an edible to start. If you’re using a vape, which is a concentrate, start with just one puff and wait at least 15 minutes before taking another.

And, if you feel anxious, nauseous, or simply uncomfortable from the THC you’ve consumed, it’s always a good idea to have Anti+Dose on hand.
